How do I stop glare on my screen?
OSHA's workstation guide asks for task lighting placed so it does not reflect on the screen, lamps with shields or shades that direct light away from your line of sight, and the screen turned at right angles to windows.
Warm or cool light for a desk?
The US Department of Energy lists warm white at 2,700K for homes, soft white at 3,000K, neutral at 3,500K and cool white at 4,100K for offices and classrooms, and notes that a big jump such as 2,700K to 4,100K is noticeable.
What does a monitor light bar do?
It is a shielded task light that sits on top of the screen and aims down at the desk, so the desk is lit without lighting the screen.
