Cut by machine. Finished by hand.
Every piece starts as a block of wood at our partner workshop. Machines make the first rough cuts. After that, people shape, sand, fit and test each part by hand until it moves the way it should.
Five steps, most of them by hand
01Cut
The rough shape is cut from a solid block, by saw and sander.
02Shape
Details like ribs, scales and joints are cut in with a gouge and a knife.
03Sand
Every edge is sanded smooth, so the parts slide and the wood feels soft.
- 04Fit
Wings, legs and fins are fitted onto pins and wires, one joint at a time.
- 05Test
Each piece is switched on and watched before it is packed.

One dragon, before it moves
This is Wyvernwood in pieces: two ribbed wings, the body in sections, the thin wires, the dark wood tower and its pale wood base. Every part has a job, and you can watch each one do it.

Packed like it is going to someone we know
Thin wires and fine wings do not like rough handling. So we pack every piece slowly, the same way, every time.
Send us a photo. We replace or refund it.
